The Lord's prayer instructs us to pray this way. Does that mean His will is not always done on earth? Does he sometimes allow our will to be done or someone elses? I think we should do as the Lord teaches and pray for his will, his mercy and his grace to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Otherwise we are like the nations that have no God or have a fatalistic resignation to "whatever" like my Muslim friend. She is resigned to a "whatever" posture to her words Enshala (God willing) without hope of a personal touch from a God that loves her and wants to be intimately involved in her life.</div></div></div></div></div>
