“Inbox Zero” talk
Posted by Chris on Friday, January 18th, 2008
Wow. I watched this video this evening by a gentleman names Merlin Mann. He did a talk at Google about handling email. Hit me with some good points on how to handle email. As of last night I had some 785 messages in my inbox.

I spent a hour last night at Gravity Bookstore working it down by 100, but not anywhere I need it to be. I found this link on Scott’s website. Per his topic, Dave posted a comment with a link to this video. If you got about a hour to listen to this, and you have ton’s of email or whatever. Check this out. Amazing stuff. Anyway here is the video. For me, I need to stop checking so often (right now its every 5 minutes…could easily be 1 hour +). And when I do check..I need to take care of it right away. Good stuff.

uhh that is alot of email. But mine is not much better maybe I will watch the video too. By the way what do you think of gravity I have not ahd a chance to stop in their yet but have been meaning too I guess they have free wifi?
Yea it is a lot of mail. I moved it all to a separate folder and will deal with it later. I think we tend to have emotional attachment to email…a just incase I need that again attitude. Most cases your email program tracks sent mail anyway. The whole premise is to take action right away. Delete, reply, differ, etc. Its pretty good.
Gravity is pretty cool and has a good selection of books and music. They also have some art and t-shirts for sale as well. There not a typical ‘christian’ bookstore either with all the fluff and stuff like that. Yup they have free wifi as well. There also reasonably priced..if comparing to places like Christian Light (when they were around) and J.O.Y. Bookstore. And competes well with Wal-mart/Barnes & Noble.
