Its about Grace.

So I am sitting here finishing up at work, but on the last couple of minutes I have here I just wanted to share some thoughts with you. I am at the moment listening to this past Sunday’s message from Cornerstone Simi. Francis Chin has been doing a great series out of Galatians. This past Sunday’s message is entitled Grace, Grace, Grace, Grace. Obviously the 3 before it were titled the same way. But anyway just something he pointed out that I need to chew on and will probably have to listen to this message again. But he made the point that the old testament isn’t about the law. It’s about the grace that God demonstrates towards us. It wasn’t about living up to the law it was the sacrifice and the picture of that, which represents God’s grace towards us. We can’t do anything or do so much that we find favor in God’s eyes.
I don’t know. I think personally I always have had the thought that these people had to live up to something they could not obtain. I didn’t really relate the sacrifices with the picture of God’s grace. I always kinda have a had a picture that it was a works faith. When really that isn’t the case at all. The law is only showing our depravity and our need for a sacrifice. It is nothing I can do. These are some initial thoughts. I need to re-listen to it again. When I’m not distracted. But wow. Its making me think.
